Answers to the most common questions about the beta.
What is Blockintosh?+
Blockintosh is an independent, experimental macOS launcher for Minecraft Bedrock on Apple Silicon. It brings builds, profiles, worlds, add-ons, and Xbox sign-in into a native app.
Do I need to own Minecraft?+
Yes. You need a Microsoft account with a valid Minecraft for Windows license. Minecraft is acquired through your account and is not included with the launcher.
Will it run on an Intel Mac?+
The current project targets Apple Silicon Macs. Intel Macs are not supported by this setup.
Which macOS version do I need?+
The launcher requires macOS 15.0+. Gameplay requires macOS 26.4+ with bundled GPTK 4, or macOS 15.4+ with an optional GPTK 3 setup. The game runtime also requires Rosetta.
Where are downloads and release notes?+
The Get Blockintosh buttons use the published update feed. Changelog has its own page and reads the same feed. If it has not been published, the site will say so instead of linking to an unavailable download.
What is still being tested?+
Realms, Marketplace, sustained performance, additional account combinations, and wider Mac compatibility remain beta validation work. Singleplayer, Vibrant Visuals, server joins, and in-game joining have been confirmed in development.
Is this an official Minecraft product?+
No. Blockintosh is an independent community project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Mojang, Microsoft, or Apple.
